S10 – de artiestennaam van de Hoornse Stien den Hollander – is inmiddels kroonprinses van de Nederlandse alternatieve pop. De 21-jarige artiest deelt door middel van zang, rap en spoken word haar meest persoonlijke verhalen.
S10’s authentieke sound en muzikale veelzijdigheid maken indruk en ze tekent op 17-jarige leeftijd haar eerste platencontract bij platenlabel Noah’s Ark. Dit geeft S10 de kans haar debuutalbum Snowsniper (2019) op te nemen, welke wordt beloond met Nederlands meest prestigieuze muziekprijs: een Edison in de categorie ‘Alternative’. Een jaar later – 2020 – verschijnt haar tweede album Vlinders. Een uitverkochte tournee en hoge noteringen in de hitlijsten volgen.
Met miljoenen streams op haar naam, samenwerkingen met Nederlands grootste artiesten en lovende reacties op haar werk van muziekrecensenten laat S10 keer op keer van zich horen. In haar eigen taal – Nederlands – want wat ze deelt, is haar verhaal.
S10: “Muziek is alles voor mij. Ik hoop dat ik met mijn muziek iets kan betekenen in de levens van anderen, juist omdat het mij zoveel doet. Ik ontplof daarom bijna van geluk bij het idee dat ik dit jaar mee mag doen aan het Eurovisie Songfestival. Voor zo’n enorm publiek, zoiets eervols mogen doen namens Nederland… dat vind ik echt geweldig.”

S10, the stage name of Stien den Hollander, has established herself as the crown princess of Dutch alt pop. The 21-year-old artist shares her most personal stories through song, rap and spoken word.
S10 authentic sound and musical versatility are impressive. She signed her first record deal with label Noahs Ark at the age of 17. Enabling her to record her debut album Snowsniper (2019), which duly won the Netherlands’ most prestigious music award, an Edison, in the category ‘Alternative’. Her second album Vlinders was released a year later, in 2020, and was followed by a sold-out tour and high chart placings.
With millions of streams to her name, collaborations with the Netherlands’ biggest artists and rave reviews from music critics, S10 continues to make a name for herself. All in her own language of Dutch, because what she’s telling is her own story.
